There once was a store near my first apartment called Pennies from Heaven. It was owned by a young lady (but a wee bit older than me at the time) who made everything in the store. Everything. And the store was FULL of beautiful, funky things. This was in the early 90's, and if I could find that girl again and go back in time and look at everything she had created I would be very happy.

I have to say this has been the craziest winter photo journal. (ha)

After the huge snowstorm.
This past week, 3 weeks later. Notice the boys shed in the background, to be re-floored and re-shingled in the summer.
Yesterday the boys played at the front on/in the huge ice pond. This was dry in the fall when we bought the house.

My first post in a long time should be, yay, we did it!

We sold our house twice, went into major temporary debt, had my wedding rings stolen, fired our real estate agent.....but we both agree that it was all worth it.

We got out of the city, at least for the next 5 years, and hope to enjoy every aspect of our (not quite) 3 acre property!
