Barf...

the only thing coming out of my mouth today. This is the kind of day I wish I had a wife to watch the kids so I can hole myself up in the bedroom and sleep it off.

He makes me so proud

After picking Ty up from a playdate with Neal, the first thing he does is sit down to get his homework done. He is a shockingly conscientious student, and I love that.

Went skating on the canal yesterday

We took the kids skating yesterday on the world's longest skating rink, it was -22 with the wind so by the end of it Finn was freezing. You would think they would then be exhausted, but by the late afternoon this began.......

Owen's big moves involve going for the legs which is why he is mostly on the ground in these pics. Finn is trying to take advantage of Ty leaping in mid air.

Shockingly, we were able to end the chaos before one of them starting crying. Aren't we great parents (minus us taking pictures of the boys pummeling each other).

Suggestions Welcome

I had the day off yesterday because of Finn's dental appointment ($2000 quote! what!?). So I did this after. Only cost $7 for the trim, and of course now I have to make a trip to the fabric store to sew a cushion. What I wanted to do up top is a series of hooks and shelves ~ I'm taking the bar down.

So, any suggestions? I figured I would put a half shelf up pretty high for my nice basket (with new lining sewn). But what about spacing of hooks? Should I put them on the inside wall too?

Since I'm the only one who updates, I'll post this wonderful picture of my men.

Fleece baby blanket and doll blanket for a friend's shower & daughter. Question is - do I give the blankets to her in the bag? I'm kinda liking it so much it's hard to part with. I did buy a "Sisters" picture frame as well. Not everyone appreciates home-made stuff.
New couch pillows with amazing fabric, but I'm still getting the hang of stuffing a pillow. Can't quite seem to get the right amount.
