I haven't taken any pictures lately. Nothing new around here really. Tyler took part in his first Spelling Bee, Owen got to play hockey at Eric & Keegan's rink last night, and Finn is still eating all day every day.

Fleece was on sale, buy 1 metre get 2 free. So Tyler got a new cozy housecoat this week-end. Neckwarmers for the boys too.

To My Mother

Thank you for showing me that it is healthy to keep a warm, cozy home. For showing me that it is o.k. to want to sew, knit, and bake. That I can do anything I want to do in life, yet keeping a home filled with comfort (whether it be food, wine, homemade blankets/clothes) can be my choice too.
Thank you for giving me recipes that remind me of you. For creating memories for us from smells and sounds and peaceful moments.
You are a founding member of the 'slow' movement.
A true hippie. I understand now more than ever what you started out wanting to create for us. (p.s. politics aside.)

This is why I need daughters

I made a quiche friday night, and Tyler was the only one sweet enough to eat his piece.

So the next night I had to make stew to make up for torturing the men in our family.

Owen is at the Corel Centre right now, he will go on the ice 1st intermission and play a 3 minute game. His first NHL game!
